San Francisco Public Library hosts transgender “art exhibit” featuring weapons intended to kill feminists

I am beyond belief at this. A PUBLIC LIBRARY DISPLAYING THIS SHIT.

GenderTrender

If you thought the age of scold’s bridles and dunking pools designed to torture and kill disobedient women were a thing of the past, you would be wrong. The San Francisco Public Library unveiled an exhibit this week featuring blood stained t-shirts encouraging patrons to “punch” feminists, along with several installations of deadly weapons painted pink: baseball bats covered in barbed wire, axes, among others, all designed by men to kill feminist women.

Display case of weapons

More weapons to be used against women who harbor what the designers call “oppressive belief-sets” against males, defined in the accompanying literature as lesbians.

The male creators of the exhibit also included a helpful manifesto, blaming lesbians, feminists and other uppity women for causing more deaths (by “harassing” men with their dastardly opinions!) than all the actual real murders committed by violent men.

The display, launched mere days after the mass murder of…

Women, biology, and women’s spaces

A must-read for all feminists.

freer lives

Increasingly, anyone who identifies as a woman can access female-only spaces, compete in women’s sport (see eg here and here) and represent women within public and private organisations. These changes are part of the mainstreaming of the transgender trend, and its normalisation by the corporate media (see eg here and here). The mystical idea of gender identity is rapidly being codified in law and statements of public policy where “gender” is replacing “sex”. For information about Britain, see here and here. But this is a worldwide trend, as James Robb points out:

For example, in most provinces of Canada there is no longer an requirement for people to have had gender reassignment surgery in order to change their legal sex designation; Denmark and Argentina have made a similar change. Ontario is likely to issue ‘gender-neutral’ birth certificates by 2018. A government committee has recently recommended a change along similar lines in…

Nothing Alters the Psychology of Dictatorship

Hart’s description’s of the dictator does indeed describe trump & his first fifteen months in office.  But the reason WHY trump was allowed to get ANYWHERE near the GOP presidential election goes back to Reagan in the 1960’s.  Allowing a half-baked B-movie actor to become the Governor of California was the first step in our demise as a great nation.

But this is a really good read & I suggest you read it.  We are not in a good place … even if trump doesn’t last until 2020, the damage he has wrought is real & lasting.  & he didn’t start this shit.  It started over FIFTY YEARS AGO.  It’s been brewing a long time, children.

The assault on our educational system started with Reagan.  The assault on everything started with Reagan.  The idea that if you give huge tax breaks to the richest of the rich, then prosperity would follow would everyone else … on a national level, that started with Reagan.  Look around you.  How does almost forty years of this BS look to you?  I live in Buffalo.  This used to be a beautiful city.  & don’t give me that “NY & its high taxes” crapola to me!  Taxes are what you pay so that you live in a civilized place!  So that everyone has a nice place to live!  Not just the rich!

Two generations have grown up since 1980.  They’re the ones ripe for totalitarian rule.  They’ve never seen a properly functioning government.  One with proper taxes and one that cares about its people.  They want somebody to step in & be the fucking adult.  Build the bridges & fix the roads.  Make the trains run on time.   End student debt.  Medicare for all.  I personally think they would welcome Pennywise if he delivered these things.  Look at all the idiots who voted for trump & he hasn’t delivered shit.

I’m an old woman, a crone.  I voted in my first presidential election in 1980 & no, I did not vote for Reagan!  But I knew he was going to win.  & it’s been downhill ever since.  I would really like to see a turnaround in this country before I die.  I figure I might have another twenty or thirty years.  I rarely look into my crystal ball but … I am not all that optimistic about what we, as Americans, are facing.   Honestly, I do not like the looks of what I see at all.

Padre Steve's World...Musings of a Progressive Realist in Wonderland

NPG x25404; Sir Basil Henry Liddell Hart by Howard Coster B. H. Liddell-Hart

Friends of Padre Steve’s World,

A couple of weeks ago I re-read the short but poignant little but by the British military historian B.H. Liddell-Hart entitled Why Don’t We Learn from History. The book was written in not long before his death in 1970 and it is good quite good. It deals with a number of issues, including the conflict between history and propaganda; or when faith, especially religious faith as treated as historic or scientific fact; and when propaganda or faith is preached as if it were history, if it were truth. In doing this he also contrasted democracy and lure of totalitarianism.

Liddell-Hart was a realist, especially about democracy and totalitarianism. He served on the Western Front in the First World War and was wounded in a German gas attack. Between the wars he was one of the theorists of armored warfare and the…

April 13, 2018

I have to say I really do agree with the content of this blog & moreover, the TONE of this particular post.

Since the election in November 2016, I have been seriously depressed. It’s almost like going through the five stages of grieving when somebody dies. I’ve gone through all those stages. This is a little different. Resignation and acceptance are not quite the same thing. Or maybe resignation is the reversed form of acceptance (in Tarot card terms).

Whatever it is, we are in very dangerous times. I can’t even rant about this. I can only pray.

Trumptimestamp

Resignation.  Not Trump’s.  Our resignation to an unstoppable constitutional crisis.

Trump pardons Scooter Libby for his part in the Bush Administration’s smear campaign against anyone who dare stand between them and their holy war against Iraq.  The Trump administration paints the special counsel who had charged Libby as being “out of control.”  Never mind an “out of control” special counsel would have fought to get the true source of the smear campaign, Dick Cheney, as the architect of the outing of Valerie Plame; this sudden need to pardon Libby is a message to both the FBI and potential witnesses against Trump, that he’s going to “fix” everything.

This administration is in as disgusting a situation as the Bush Administration was and fighting with equal passion to preserve their perverse desires with the pretense they are serving the nation’s interests.  Neither administration was, and both suffer from the obvious truth of…

woke up to snow again

thinking about that person I was talking to who insisted that no matter how bad our current president has turned out to be, it would be SO MUCH WORSE if Hillary Clinton had become president.  Because of corruption & emails & Benghazi & Bill.

& I couldn’t even argue with that because I just can’t anymore.  I just won’t.

If you’re the kind of person who would rather have chaos & confusion on a daily basis than a functioning government JUST BECAUSE you didn’t like the person for some stupid reason that was drilled into your head for the last 25 years … there is no talking to you.

There’s no talking to a whole bunch of you.

There’s a current talking point, which goes that we are “more divided” than we have ever been & that “we need to start talking to one another” & that “social media” has made the “divisions” in our society worse than ever & yadda yadda yadda.  What a load of bollocks.

When has American society NOT been divided?  I mean, really?  When I was growing up, there was civil rights activity on the TV & then the anti-war demonstrations.  Clearly, people were divided bitterly on these issues.  In my reading of history, Americans have been divided by important issues many times in the past – remember the Civil War? – going back to the very first Europeans who came here.  The Puritans in New England are probably the best example of a society who created divisions simply by their religious intolerance.  It can be argued that the human condition is one of divisiveness, because of people’s natural tendency to see their own family & tribe as the very best & others as inferior.

However, this doubling down on “anyone but Hillary” in the face of utter ruin of what was once a nice place to live is really annoying, to say the least.  Just like waking up to snow on April 10!  Just say you’re wrong already!  Just fucking admit it!

It’s Not a F*ckng Movie!

I read this the other day & it pissed me right the fuck off.  It came up on my Facebook feed a few minutes ago & triggered my rage again.  It’s not like the right-wing trolls that have been attacking the Parkland kids & their political activism.  This attack is something different. It paints them as “Hunger Games” characters, as not-quite-real-made-for-the-screen personas that are going to have a “Hollywood ending”.

IT’S NOT A FUCKING MOVIE!  THIS IS REAL FUCKING LIFE!

It’s so fucking true, the liberals are as bad as the conservatives.  STFU already!

Here’s the link to the article that’s pissing me off:
